Yes, there other ways ... for example using many of the web sites that provide such service: http://www.tubeg.com/ as well as others.  For Windows users there are several such utilities listed at: http://freewarelist.net/search/node/youtube

The trouble with those? You have to download and then upload. which might be an un-necssary step.
More than likely your LAMP based Joomla portal and/or Moodle is not filtered (if it is, it may NOT getting updates!!!!).  So, IF you've a LAMP Joomla portal and/or Moodle, here's how!  But first .... some pre-requisites:
* Linux server with development packages installed (gcc compiler)
* Not afraid of a little root command line (it will be worth your efforts!)
