Got this via EMail today ... BTW, this is NOT a recommendation for the product/services offered, just sharing some insight (which, by itself, is NOT earth shaking). SumTotal Presents… Shared Services: The Future of Learning Today The blurp: "In today's learning environment, organizations are facing more challenges than ever with shrinking budgets, increasing learning demands, complex technology and the frenetic pace of change in a global business environment. A shared services model addresses these challenges head on by shifting the organization to an environment of collaboration, specialization, and defined processes. Nimble changes that result in scalable, efficient and adaptable operations. ... " There was also the typical "what you will learn" listing: * How a shared services model works * A method or approach to begin moving your organization towards a shared services model * Common challenges encountered when moving towards a shared services model and how to overcome them * Best practices to incorporate in your organization’s shared services model I also get a LOT more spam related to acquiring degrees ... with no "seat time", no classes, no papers to write, no hoops to jump through, etc.. Spammers don't target or make such offers with such regularity UNLESS there is some $ to be made and there are "suckers" out there to be had! :\ Gee this webinar sounds a lot like that which Coloodle at TCEA, all the TCEA Area Moodles on ETMP , and Tech Assessments at ESC3 is all about!
