The home page of any web site is "valuable territory" ... after all, it's the "first impression" made on any visitor to the site.  Having a poll on the home page might be useful at times, but it also takes up valueable and limited home page space. Thus, the creation of a Joomla! "cubby hole" just for Polls!  This page to introduce that ...

Unfortunately, a limitation of the Polls module in Joomla! has been discovered.  There can be only ONE active Poll on a content section/category page and static pages won't do the trick either.   So for each new poll, a new section category has to be created and an article submited under that new section category with the "matching" poll.  This is probably a good thing because one does get to explain some background and other information about the poll itself.

The currently active poll should display in the right column.  Clicking the results button of any active Poll will take the user to the results of the current poll and provide a pick list from which to view other/past poll results.
