This special content area created to demonstrate features of Joomla CMS as well as share some interesting YouTube video's concerning Technnology and Education.  Please see the Tubes menu to the left for links to embedded YouTube digital content.

Makes sense to me!  And ... not  only could an ISD provide this type of content in a Joomla CMS , but in an ISD Moodle as well (a protected environment for K12 that does allow "Web 2.0" tools to be experienced by students ... before they get into the "real world"!).

Maybe it's time for ISD's to explore the possibilities of the "dynamic duo" ... Joomla CMS and Moodle LMS!

For example, using a combination of FREE PHP scripts (Server 2 Server) and Joomla's mgmediabot ... this funny video from TeacherTube about how NOT to use powerpoint (TAKE NOTES FUTURE DISTANCE INSTRUCTORS - OR 1-1 TEACHERS!)



Now if this is something you'd like to do (and you have a powerful LAMP server), please contact me .  I've instructions for the "Server 2 Server" script (as well as how to set it up) and can provide the mgmediabot for Joomla I'm using on SOS of Texas.  This same script will work for acquiring FLV files for Moodle as well.

Ok - I'm biased!  I confess.  A LAMP enabled server is what ISD's need ... for all the right reasons!
